The City Council and Mayor Carter appointed me in January 2008 to fill the vacancy in Ward 3. I was elected to another two-year term in November 2009 and re-elected for a four-year term in November 2011. My fellow councilmembers elected me "mayor pro tem" (basically, substitute mayor when needed) in January 2012.
City council are paid only a small stipend in Sheridan. I am a tax supervisor for CenturyLink as my "day job".
I am married to stay-at-home dad and parttime filmmaker C. Troy Fluhr. We have a 8-year-old son, Nicholas and fraternal twin toddler boys Taran and Victor.
